“I have been drawing plans on bits of paper for over 40 years, of course I have only been paid to do so for about 20 of those. I have always found drawing gardens an important form of creative expression. About 15 years ago when I was introduced to my first CAD system, I came to the realisation that, even though for many it was the future, it really had no place in my business or my life. To this day all my Garden Plans and Landscape Drawings are drawn by hand, so that there is no loss of expression or personality. Whether it be a Planting Plan, Garden Concept or a full set of Landscape Drawings, it has been done with my pen – the result, I believe, gives a creative, natural result that speaks for itself. “ Barry Jarrott
